Funk Trunk Supports Earth Hour 2019

Posted by on

Earth Hour 2019 took place last Saturday, March 30. It is a global environmental movement organized by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). Funk Trunk took part in the event last weekend.

Earth Hour grew as a symbolic event in Sydney, Australia back in 2007 to one of the world's largest movement "spanning spanning over 7,000 cities and 180 countries and territories." The global movement aims to inspire and empower "individuals, businesses, organizations, and governments to take tangible action for the planet." The one-hour lights off is the time wherein people can reflect on what big or small actions they can commit to in order to help save planet Earth. The real and tangible action comes after the lights go back on.

Philippines is the 3rd biggest plastic pollutant in the world. As a company whose environmental mission is to promote and encourage doing small decisions in saving the planet, Funk Trunk gave its support on WWF-Philippine's #AyokoNgPlastik and Earth Hour 2019 through the Sustainable Journey Collection, and attended the event in Makati City, Philippines last Saturday.
