According to an article from Rappler, “the pawikan was already dead and entangled with rope when he found it.” The cause of the pawikan’s death is drowning. It was believed that there was an attempt to capture the pawikan but since it was big and heavy, they backed out and abandoned the sea creature.

We can prevent this from happening if all of us have enough knowledge on how to live with other species without hurting them or exploiting them.

It’s our responsibility to take care of what we have. It’s also our responsibility to gather information for our own knowledge in order to live in balance.
